توجد طريقتين لتشغيل الويندوز على الماك , الاولى هي تشغيل النظامين في نفس الوقت و الثانية تشغيل كل نظام لوحدة .
الاولى : تشغيل النظامين في نفس الوقت بامكانك تشغيل النظامين باستخدام برامج مثل
ممتاز و لكن غير مجاني ممتاز و لكن غير مجاني ممتاز و مجاني برنامج يشغل برامج الويندوز و لكنه يشكل خطر على اجهزة الماك
Parallels vmWare VirtualBox جميع هذه البرامج تحتاج الى نظام ويندوز للتنصيب , فعمليت هذه البرامج هي انشاء مساحة معينة على الهارد دسك تحددها انت و يحول الفرمات الى FAT32 حتى يتناسب مع نظام الويندوز , بعد تجهيز مساحة معينة على الهاردسك , سيطلب منك البرنامج ادخال قرص ويندوز للتنصيب و كانك تنصب ويندوز من جديد .
هذه البرامج فعالة و تفي بالغرض اذا اكن استخدامها محدود , مثلاً MediaScript او اي برنامج خفيف لا يحتاج الى كرت شاشة كبير او رام كثير و الخ ...
افضلهم هو Parallels و ارخصهم هو VirtualBox ; فهذا البرنامج VirtualBox مجاني و مفتوح المصدر و اامن من جميع النواحي
بالنسبة لبرنامج CrossOver Mac هو يقوم فقط بتشغيل برامج الويندوز على الماك , هذا يشكل خطر اخر , الفيروسات تشتغل على نظام exe و اذا تم استخدام هذا البرنامج فان اي فيروس ينزل على الماك , سيشتغل بدون مشاكل , لذلك يفضل حصر الويندوز في مكان معين على الهارد دسك
الطريقة الثانية و هي تنصيب الويندوز كنظام مستقل عن الماك او اس اكس يوجد في الماك او اس اكس برنامج باسم هذا البرنامج يقوم بتجهيز مساحة معينة انت من يقوم بتحديدها و بعد التجهيز يطلب منك ادخال قرص ويندوز ليتم التنصيب . بعد ادخال القرص و البدء في التنصيب , سيقوم الجهاز باعادة التشغيل و ينصب الويندوز كنظام مستقل عن الماك, يمكنك اختيار اما استخدام الويندوز او الماك عند تشغيل الماك .
مميزات البوت كامب, بامكانك تنصيب جميع الاجهزة الملحقة مع الجهاز مثل الواير لس , البلوتوث , كرت الشاشة و الخ .... عندها سيكون عندك جهاز سريع للغاية متوافق بجميع الجهزته
عيب البرنامج : اذا رغبت بالتغيير الى الماك , يجب عليك اعادة تشغيل الجهاز و اختيار الماك او اس اكس عن صفحة التشغيل .
