بالرغم من أن هذا العدد لا يقارن بعدد تطبيقات الـ AppStore و الـ Android Market، إلا أن RIM أبدت سعادتها بتجاوز عدد تطبيقات متجرها الخاص بتطبيقات BlackBerry -و الذي يعرف بـ BlackBerry App World- حاجز الـ 10 آلاف تطبيق.
لم يتم إطلاق سوى العام الماضي مما يفسر جزئيا قلة التطبيقات الموجودة فيه مقارنة بنظرائه لدى Google و Apple، و لقد جاء الإعلان عن تجاوزه هذا الحاجز عبر على. للتذكير فإن الـ Android Marketplace يحتوي على 70 ألف تطبيق، في حين يبقى الـ AppStore الخاص بمنتجات Apple في الصدارة بفضل ربع مليون تطبيق المنشورة فيه.
